Position Overview
- Our Security Analyst is responsible for administering and monitoring information security controls according to corporate policy and procedures using software and vendor security systems. This role will be responsible for the administration and monitoring of tools and systems required to support an enterprise-wide security and compliance program as well as being directly involved in the incident management and response processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor security controls to prevent malicious, unauthorized, or unintended misuse or compromise of company information
- Under supervision, implement and tune assigned security systems
- Assist with daily management of logging / IDS / IPS real-time alerts and incident response analysis, and assist in investigations in collaboration with global IT personnel
- Assist with daily management and assessment of web filtering / proxy management
- Perform/manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) monitoring and event analysis
- Identify opportunities for improvements to the Security and Compliance program, and communicate such opportunities effectively to management
- Interface with user community to understand business needs and implements security procedures to accommodate them
Qualifications
- Knowledge of security technologies (encryption, data protection, design, privilege access, etc)
- Hands on experience with Security toolsets (Logging, IDS, FIM, SIEM)
- Knowledge of Virtualization Software and Technologies
- Basic Knowledge of networks technologies (protocols, design concepts, access control)
- Proficiency in time management, decision making, and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- Proficiency in planning, reporting, establishing goals and objectives, standards, priorities, and schedules
- Basic to intermediate decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Microsoft Windows Operating System knowledge
