Instructional Design Specialist

The Instructional Designer will work with the Project Manager and/or Sr. Instructional Developer to create learning modules, course maps, instructor-led training guides, and supporting materials (not limited to micro learning videos and other multimedia) following the instructional design process.  The Instructional Designer will have strong interpersonal, written, and visual communication skills to bring together text, images, video and audio to communicate and educate our employees and other stakeholders.

In this role you will:
  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer
  • Design and develop engaging curriculum projects using multimedia, instructor led training, and subsequent supplementary materials using sound instructional development principles
  • State instructional end goals and create content that matches them
  • Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product
  • Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience’s training needs
  • Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts
  • Coordinate design specifications, narration scripts, storyboards, interactions and production of media assets (graphics, text, audio, and video) for multimedia projects
  • Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods
  • Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
  • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc)
  • Decide on the criteria used to judge learner’s performance and develop assessment instruments
  • Maintain project documentation and course folders
  • Apply production processes set by ResultsCX
  • Contribute to the proposal, scoping, and marketing efforts as needed
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on developed materials
  • Complete client deliverables at defined quality level
  • Apply innovative pedagogy that focuses on the learner’s experience for effective classroom delivery
  • Collaborate with other development team members as necessary to ensure client satisfaction
  • Remain current on trends within the learning field, and appropriately recommend, select and/or design and develop learning opportunities using the existing emerging technologies and instructional strategies
  • Interact and collaborate with assigned SMEs to align with the shared vision for each specific project
  • Act in a professional manner in all communications
  • Monitor schedule and adhere to all deadlines
  • Communicate project status regularly and highlights risks and issues
  • Track individual time in company-specified time tracking software
  • Maintain and demonstrate a positive “can-do” attitude
  • Demonstrate leadership skills and come to tasks as a problem solver

  • Professionalism in appearance and attitude
  • Ability to analyze data for trends and able to recognize opportunities for improvement
  • Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology
  • Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
  • Lesson and curriculum planning skills
  • Solid knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management System
  • Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) and ability to storyboard
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
  • Bachelor Degree, preferably in the field of Graphic Design & Arts
  • 3-5 years tenure in a BPO industry
  • Minimum 1 year tenure as a Trainer or similar role
  • Certification in any graphics design and eLearning course is a plus
