We are seeking a highly analytical Payroll Accounting Manager to Prepare and draft journal entries to record payroll across six global jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in multi-country payroll accounting and complex cost allocations, acting as the final quality control point before month-end close and the primary liaison during financial audits.

In this role you will:

Global Payroll Preparation & Recording

  • Prepare and draft journal entries to record payroll across six global jurisdictions: the US, Mexico, Honduras, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, and India.
  • Process and record off-cycle payroll runs as required, specifically for the US, Philippines, Mexico, and Honduras.
  • Prepare detailed journal entries to record payroll expenses across multiple cost centers, ensuring accuracy at the client, location, and department levels.

Month-End Close & Cost Allocations

  • Calculate payroll accruals for mid-cycle payroll runs leading up to the calendar month-end close, maintaining the supporting working papers.
  • Draft cost allocation journal entries to record and distribute shared service costs to the appropriate clients and locations.
  • Submit all month-end journal entries and supporting schedules to the Payroll Accounting Manager for review prior to posting.
  • Prepare balance sheet schedules and ensure it reconciles to the general ledger and accurately represents the nature of items recorded on the balance sheet.

Audit Support & Reconciliations

  • Perform monthly reconciliations tying payroll registers to the drafted journal entries and actual cash disbursements.
  • Compile and organize audit documentation, including working papers, journal entries, and payroll registers, providing them to the Manager for audit review.
  • Compile and arrange all the payment receipts or proofs for the statutory dues and/or contributions made to government/ authorities
We are looking for someone who has:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, certified public accountant or equivalent preferred.
    • 3-5 years of accounting experience, specifically handling payroll journal entries and reconciliations.
    • Experience preparing accounting entries for international entities (US, LATAM, APAC, and UK markets).
    • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, complex formulas) for building cost allocation models and maintaining detailed bonus working papers.
    • Hands-on experience with ERP/Accounting systems (e.g., Oracle NetSuite, Sage 100).
